Fabien Gabel is exactly the right conductor for this very special mixture of self-confidence, an ironic wink of the eye and a colourful, captivating narrative power. HK Gruber's trumpet concerto Aerial is celebrated all over the world with Håkan Hardenberger, and Bernd Richard Deutsch's Con moto provides a musical motto for the new era, so to speak: ‘This is where things are moving forward brilliantly!
Håkan Hardenberger is a world-renowned trumpet soloist who works with leading orchestras. In addition to his solo activities, he is also active as a conductor and is involved in artist residencies. Fabien Gabel is known as a dynamic conductor for his versatile programming and regularly fulfils engagements with top international orchestras. From the 2025/2026 season, he will be chief conductor of the Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich.
