‘Rauschen’ is an impetuous movement, a rush, a rush to feel life in all its intensity: choreographer Joachim Schlömer invites us to experience the fleeting beauty of the moment and the energy of dance.
Dance/live music With Rauschen oder der Nachhall der Tage, six dancers and a musician celebrate the transience of life and the everlasting power of dance. With every step, every gesture and every sound, an intoxicating vortex is created in which movement and music merge. Every movement becomes a fleeting moment that resonates deeply in the memory. A dance about the beauty of the moment, about the secret that dance can transcend time - fleeting, intense, triumphant!
As artistic director, Joachim Schlömer shaped the dance theatres at the Nationaltheater Weimar and Theater Basel as well as the Festspielhaus St. Pölten from 2009 to 2013. In his work as a director and choreographer, including for opera and theatre, he impresses with his unique combination of music and movement. Since 2024, he has headed the Choreographic Centre and the Dance & Media Lab at Tanzhaus Basel.
