Soap&Skin: Torso Tour
Description
A torso that grows new limbs: Soap&Skin's latest album Torso is not just a collection of cover songs, but a musical work of art. In fragile arrangements, the vocal and sound artist's favorite pieces undergo a fairytale-like, very personal transformation that can be as touching as it is bizarre.
A special debut concert can be experienced at the Festspielhaus St. Pölten in 2026: With her unmistakable voice, carefully complemented by piano, other instruments and electronic sounds, Soap&Skin lends songs by Shirley Bassey, Tom Waits or David Bowie an aura in which the originals embark on a fascinating balancing act between immediate closeness and the greatest possible reinterpretation. The fine art of sound does not even stop at former chart toppers such as What's Up? by 4 Non Blondes. And Jim Morrison's psychedelic farewell opus The End has rarely been heard in such a powerful reinterpretation – sometimes powerfully energetic, sometimes very fragile.
Anja Plaschg has released four albums under her artist name Soap&Skin since 2009. Parallel to her musical career, she works successfully as an actress (Des Teufels Bad) and composes stage music for the Thalia Theater Hamburg and the Wiener Burgtheater.
