LINA_

Melancholic, sensual, pulsating: in recent years, LINA_ has transformed herself from an up-and-coming talent to a pioneer of modern fado. For her new album, she took on one of Portugal's great poets.

Vocal/Fado With Fado Camões, LINA_ has created an intimate exploration of the works of Renaissance poet Luís Vaz de Camões. Together with the British producer Justin Adams, she created a hypnotic work between classical fado, blues and African-style swing. Guitar virtuoso Pedro Viana and Ianina Khmelik on piano and synths complete the soundscape - also in concert. Quando Vos Veria seduces with distorted electric guitar and charmingly shimmering organ. In O que temo e o que desejo, Latin rhythm meets playful bass and electro drums - contemporary fado at its best. Desamor and Se De Saudade Morrerei Ou Não, on the other hand, epitomise a more classical form of the genre. A new milestone in fado has been created!

Lina Rodrigues was born in Hamburg in 1984 and studied singing at the conservatory in Porto. She released the fado albums Carolina and EnCantado under the name Carolina. She has received numerous awards for her acclaimed project with the Catalan producer Raül Refree.
