Description
To be experienced for the first time at the Festspielhaus St. Pölten: The musical programme presentation of the Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich! Following the great success of the format at the Vienna Musikverein, the Tonkünstler will now also be giving exclusive insights into their symphonic subscription programmes for the new 2025/2026 season in a free concert evening in St. Pölten. In the form of short excerpts, the Tonkünstler-Orchester under the direction of the designated chief conductor Fabien Gabel will present the musical highlights of the new season in advance: The concert will feature excerpts from popular orchestral works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, music by Richard Wagner, Anton Bruckner and Josef Suk as well as an acoustic sample from the popular Plugged-In series. An Austrian premiere is also on the programme – with the enthusiastic orchestral piece Con moto by Bernd Richard Deutsch, the Tonkünstler-Orchester continue their long-standing artistic partnership with the internationally respected Lower Austrian composer.
A stimulating and informative accompaniment to the evening is also provided: Barbara Rett, one of the country's most sought-after cultural journalists and presenters, will host the concert.
