Who doesn't know the world-famous story of Hansel and Gretel? Musicians from the Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich immerse themselves in the fantastic fairytale world of the Brothers Grimm together with children from the age of four.
Chamber music/visuals This staged chamber concert is based on a commissioned work written by the Krems composer Matthias Werner for the Tonkünstler-Orchester's music education programme. Chamber music that manages without words, because sounds and images, play and movement speak for themselves! Five members of the orchestra take the audience on a journey full of colour and adventure. They tell the story of how Hansel and Gretel defy their fears and finally return home stronger and more self-confident. Perhaps the best-known of all fairy tales is given a new guise. Plus impressive live music and visual splendour - and an intense atmosphere full of fun and excitement!
For 15 years, the Tonspiele – the Tonkünstler-Orchester's music education programme – has been building bridges between classical music and its young and young-at-heart audiences.
