Dance, projections and sound merge into a poetic and instructive journey that questions preconceptions about sharks in a humorous and thoughtful way.
Dance/drama Is it true that sharks can fly? What do cows have to do with sharks? And what is a revolver bite? Following the success of Faszination Qualle (Fascination Jellyfish), choreographer Christine Maria Krenn once again delves deep into the secrets of the underwater world. Together with the protagonists Lizzy and Jonny, young and old audience members are invited to explore the fascinating animals with humour and playful elements. At the same time, the production provides information about threats to sharks, explains why shark soup should not be a delicacy and calls for more mindfulness in dealing with nature. Projections, impressive lighting design and dance performances create a theatre experience in which all children are part of the story – participation and asking questions is expressly permitted!
Christine Maria Krenn studied stage dance at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz. Krenn has created numerous successful directorial and choreographic works for the dance theatre HELIX, which was founded in 2006, including a sound cloud for Moby Dick at the Donaulände in Linz. She has been the artistic director of HELIX projects since 2019.
